Honeysuckle Removal
Teens help restore the forest by removing invasive honeysuckle along Great Oaks Trail.
This is a community volunteer event focused on invasive species removal at a local nature preserve. Families will work together to remove honeysuckle, an aggressive non-native plant that crowds out native vegetation and harms local ecosystems. Participants of all ages can help pull, dig, and clear—it's a hands-on way to learn about native plants while making a real difference for wildlife habitat. Expect outdoor work, muddy hands, and the satisfaction of contributing to your community's natural spaces.
