Free Nightly Handbell Concerts

Handbells offer far more range than many people realize, and this concert series is a great way to experience their artistry firsthand. Presented by Handbell Musicians of America, the series features talented ensembles performing everything from classical pieces to contemporary favorites. A different group takes the stage each evening—Queen City Bronze from Cincinnati, Bells in Motion from Illinois, Ring Sarasota from Florida, and the Detroit Handbell Ensemble—so there's variety throughout the run. Arrive a little early to catch the free pre-concert demonstration at 5 p.m., which gives you a chance to see the musicians up close and get a feel for the instrument before the main performance begins at 6 p.m. Best of all, admission to the concerts is completely free, making this an accessible option for families curious about live music.
