Franklin’s Factory Historic Walking Tour

Step back in time with a guided tour through The Factory, a landmark with nearly a century of history. A staff historian will lead you through the building's halls, sharing stories about the people, products, and key moments that transformed this former industrial site into the vibrant shopping and dining destination it is today. You'll explore both indoor and outdoor spaces while discovering how the building has evolved over the years. The tour lasts about an hour and runs nearly every Wednesday and Friday at 11 AM from April through October. It operates rain or shine, so dress in comfortable walking shoes and weather-appropriate clothing. Plan to arrive 10 minutes early for check-in at The Factory x Franklin Visitor Center, located next to The White Alligator. If you'd prefer a different vibe, the Sips & Stories Happy Hour Tour offers the same historical experience on Tuesday evenings at 5:30 PM, and includes a beverage from The Skylight in a to-go cup. Private group tours are also available for groups of 6 to 25 people who want a more customized experience.
