A Public Reading of the Declaration of Independence

Public reading of the Declaration of Independence at Seasongood Pavilion in Eden Park.

Join your family for a meaningful Independence Day celebration at Seasongood Pavilion in Eden Park. Local civic leaders will take turns reading passages from the Declaration of Independence, sharing this foundational American document with a new generation. After the reading concludes, you'll enjoy live musical entertainment from No Promises Vocal Band and additional performances. This is a special opportunity—only the second public reading of the Declaration in the Greater Cincinnati area since 1925, bringing back a cherished tradition that once flourished across American communities. This free event runs under an hour, making it easy to fit into your Fourth of July plans. It's a great way to help kids understand the historical significance of the holiday while experiencing local leaders and artists in action. Whether your family loves history, appreciates live performances, or simply wants to mark Independence Day with something meaningful, this gathering offers something for everyone.
