2026 Fright Fest
Spooky Halloween festival with movie screenings across four Over-the-Rhine venues.
Get ready for a Halloween movie marathon across Over-the-Rhine! Fright Fest spreads Halloween fun across four different locations, each showing a classic spooky film outdoors. On October 23rd, Washington Park kicks things off with "Ghostbusters," complete with themed games and activities on the lawn before the movie begins at dusk. That same night, Memorial Hall offers a special screening of "Rocky Horror Picture Show" with a live shadowcast performance (this showing is for adults 21+ and requires tickets). The following evening, Ziegler Park features "Beetlejuice" alongside a costume contest where families can compete for prizes. The festival wraps up on October 25th at Imagination Alley with a double feature of "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" and "Hotel Transylvania," followed by pumpkin painting.
Plan to bring blankets or lawn chairs for comfortable outdoor viewing, as seating is limited at the venues. Snacks and beverages are available for purchase at each location. The evening screenings start at dusk, with specific times listed for each night. Since the outdoor venues have limited capacity, arriving early helps ensure a good spot. This is a great option for families wanting to enjoy Halloween entertainment across multiple nights without traveling far from home.
